We went all the way to Wisconsin and back and didn't even have any cheese! I know, what were we thinking, right?!
But fortunately, we did get to learn quite a bit at the support raising conference we were there for. It was a fast three day trip and now we feel more ready and better prepared for this part of the process that we're in. Support raising seems less daunting and burdensome now that we've learned more about the role it has in ministry too. It also blesses everyone involved! It will definitely be a process to go through, but we confidently believe that what Jesus has called into motion, He'll provide for.
So we've just started to scratch the surface in our support raising process, but we're a few weeks in and excited to say that we're at 17% of our budget. There's much more to go, but it's an encouraging start--thanks to an amazing sending home church and very special family and friends who want to join in with the vision also.
Our goal is to complete support raising and be at at least 100% of our budget by August 1st, 2012--that way we can be sent to Monterrey by the first week of September.
